Welcome Epic Games
Thank you for reviewing the 2026 Cycle 1 MegaGrant application from Maggie’s Farm.
When we started on this project almost three years ago, we set out to harness the power of video games to have a positive impact on the wildfire crisis.
We started with a third-person shooter action game concept. As we learned more about the wildfire crisis and partnered with fire agencies to develop education and awareness material, we pivoted our design to an RTS. We were able to quickly adapt our fire, weather, and terrain systems.
We were very fortunate to win a $200k CAD Canada Media Fund Grant in March of 2026.
We are currently focused on developing training materials for our partners at FireSmart BC and CAL FIRE.
FireSmart Partnership
In late 2025, we signed a letter of intent with FireSmart to develop wildfire education and awareness materials using our game framework. This will be part of our First-Time User Experience and will be available for free on the Epic Games Store and Steam. A copy of the signed agreement can be found here.
